We live in a world where 62 million girls of primary school age are out of school and where 20-50% of girls have experienced abuse from a family member. A world where 100 million girls are missing due to female foeticide and every minute a young woman dies from maternal mortality. Three quarters of the world’s HIV sufferers under 25 are women and women under 20 represent 50% of the number of sexual assaults throughout the world.
The simple fact of being born female means you are more likely to be subjected to violence, disease, poverty and disadvantage than any other group on the planet.

Red Gaffa was briefed by Cancer Council NSW to create a video that would educate childcare workers across NSW on the importance of the SunSmart program for both teachers and children.
The video revealed the personal story of Jo O’Brien – a childcare worker and mother of two - and ensured the SunSmart Program was shown through real life everyday experiences that childcare workers could relate to.
Reach: This DVD was sent to 3500 childcare centres across NSW. Red Gaffa also created all accompanying print artwork for the campaign including DVD and Poster design.Film, Editing, Creative Direction2011 -

The YMDA Bike Initiative encourages people to work together by pooling micro-donations to build an emergency response motorbike.
Users connect through Facebook and have the choice to contribute towards any part of the motorbike, be it the wheels, seat or suspension etc. The application then connects to the user’s Facebook profile and posts an update for others to see.
